Kaisercraft Scrapbooking Pattern Papers

Kaisercraft Scrapbooking Pattern Papers in store. We have over 94 double sided pattern papers from Kaisercraft ranging in themes from Christmas, Boys, Girls to Retro papers.

Just arrived to my2angels is their collection of Lovestruck and Sweets (as mentioned in previous posts)

Great value at $1.30.

All papers are posted in pizza boxes for protection and at a flat rate postage fee of $2.70, unluck most places that charged you postage from $5.40.

And wait there is more! You also receive a free thank you gift with every order (not not a set of steak knives). Each month this changes so keep an eye out for your newsletter from us advising you what the current months gift is.

What I love about these papers is, because they are doubled sided there is no hassle in trying to find two pattern papers to match your layouts and quite often I only need a sheet of cardstock and 1 sheet of pattern paper to complete pages. Pretty economical wouldn't you say?

All these papers are listed under the Pattern Papers section or just click here

PS Check out the new awesome acrylic clear doodling alphabets stamps in our stamp section, I can't wait to try these. Stay tuned for my next posted layout using them.

Brads have arrived - Plaid Fabric, Crystal and Metal Brads

Brads - I have to admit that I don't use them very often they remind me of my early scrapbooking days, and now when I look at many of those pages I wonder what was I thinking! But it nice to see how much I have learnt and grown in the past 6 years. After much research I find that brads are still a very popular scrapbooking and cardmaking item which is why I have ordered some in and challenged myself to using these versatile embellishments.

We have 3 types of brads - 7mm metal in 10 colours, 8mm crystal in 10 colours and 12mm fabric plaid brads in 5 colours. These will be on our website, with much better photos, later tonight (Tuesday 27th)

And as they say on the cooking shows, here is one I made earlier, in the anticipation of receiving this order.

Over the next week or so I will be adding more posts with ideas on using our brads to remind those who need it, how we can add them to our creations. Warning though, if you drop one YOU MUST locate it, as they *^&%&*!* hurt when you stand on them with bare feet! True Story!

Completed cards made - one for a girl & one for a boy

Okay so the plan was to get an early night I had a deadline I needed to get some cards made by the following day. As I have been enjoying late nights, well more like early mornings, during the school holidays I had to start getting my body back into waking at 7am. This had been my plan for a week or so but once everyone has gone to bed I just can't resist working in the peace. I have achieve so many layouts these holidays working till the early hours but enough was enough.

So I headed of to bed at 9pm but only to be woken half an hour later by my darling daughter yelling out to my partner, who then in turned replied by yelling back up the stairs to her. Thats okay, just a momentary intruption.

Then would you believe it darling son comes in to me "mum mum"", I choose to ignore just hoping he would go away "mum", are you kidding me I think to myself. What? I asked him with such a tone that should have sent him scurrying off to room. "I can't go to sleep" he tells me. I won't type my reply!

Unbelieveable ah? So that was it I lay there thinking about layouts and cards and the odd untypeable comments about people in this house. So I ended up by getting up and headed to my table to start on the cards! Yip once again it was 2am before I got to bed but I am glad because I am really happy with the end result. I have only ever done one other card before so when my eyes have been hurting throughout the day I just looked at my cards and I tell myself it was worth it. Well I am trying to convience myself ...

The first card is for the arrival of a new baby girl
Materials used was coordinations cardstock - snowflake with the edges inked
I created postage stamps raised with foam tape and put my2angels baby shoe, pram, baby feet, princess crowns and teddy bear charms on them using dimensional magic.
To frame it I used my2angels silver self adhesive circle rhinestone. Pretty pink flower from our bulk pack and a piece of our glitter ribbon (not sure where they rub ons are from for baby girl) and finally which took me ages to find, some foam letters for the heading.

Second card was for a boy's birthday
Pattern paper was Kaisercraft from the Grunge range and some black card.
Also used was a clear button found in my stock and our boys cap, bike and car charms. Not forgetting our Black and White 100% boy ribbon.

7 New Charms have arrived

I am sorry I didn't realise I had not shown you all of the new charms that arrived this week.

So you already know about the microphones, rock and roll hearts and now the frames. But we also have shopping bags, ribbon bows, rulers which are perfect for the first day of school projects and go great with our ABC book charms. And lastly we have the cute car, which is affectionally known in our household as the punch buggie. Whilst we are over that game I couldn't resist punching the angels when I unpacked them!

Frame Charm example

Well I have finally managed to have a little play with my new charms. I haven't finished the page yet but this is snap shot of it using the cute frame charm. The word love is a rub on inside the frame on coordinations cardstock. The pretty pink flower is from our bulk flower packs and pink organza ribbon to tie a knot at the top of the charm.

Rock n Roll Charms have arrived

Rock and Roll Charms have just arrived. Today I received a new shipment of charms and included in this order were microphones and Rock and Roll Hearts. The microphones are not the usual solid silver metal that I usually have which is probably just as well as they would be too heavy. They measure 3.5cm long, 1mc wide and 1cm deep (at its widest point). The hearts are 28mm x 30mm long and they are a solid silver metal.

The charms will be listed at our website later on this afternoon (Monday).

See below a completed page using the new charms, our self adhesive black felt stars ribbon and our black organza ribbon. I started the page a couple of days ago and I was just awaiting the delivery of charms so I could finish it and upload. So there were benefits of all those years at Brownies and Girl Guides - be prepared ;) Just click on the photos if you want a larger view.

Boys Ribbon release - only available at my2angels

Boys Ribbons unique and just for them now available in store - I am so excited because I designed these ribbons, well not alot of designing involved, but I used some weird program never heard of before and came up with these. They are available in Black and White from our website for $1.80 per metre

In all my excitement I have already completed a page using them. As mentioned prior I am redoing some of the angels photo albums. The first photo is what I created approximately 5 years ago (how proud of it I was back then and not an embellishment in sight) and on the right is what I made up today with the new ribbons. I am really happy with this page.

Kaisercraft papers new range

Kaisercraft papers from the new range will be coming to our website, 30th Jan, fingers crossed. I have ordered 2 of the 3.

Here is a sneak preview, with delicious names to match the yummy colours and patterns. These two are called Butterscotch and Creme Caramel

Introducing Kasiercraft Raspberry Creme and Sugar Cookies (no calories involved)

The next range is called Lovestruck and I like Cupid because it can be used on a boys page and I reckon Sweetheart you could also get away with. I am just thinking of my 12 year old Angel who won't have anything girly, flowers included on the pages for his album. Whilst Kaisercraft where most likely thinking of valentines Day and Love when they designed this range, however my first thoughts where of my son as he wore alot of dark blue when he was younger and this range will go great with some of his photos. Different people with different thoughts ah?:)

Finally we have Lace Hearts and St Valentine

Just click on the photo if you want a larger shot of the paper.

Finally, Quote for the week:

Good friends are like stars, you don’t always see them but you know they are always there

2 new pages done

Remember how I said recently that I have looked through the Angels photo albums and cringed. Well here is one page I have redone.

I created acetate arrows and stamped them with stazon blue ink (great ink dries quicky and is permanent so it won't smudge). Everything used except the acetate is from our website.

Second Page was originally for a sketch competition but I kind of got off the beaten track and only sort of stuck to the sketch. I love my turtle.

Quote of the Day

Mum sent me some quotes to upload to the website (sorry haven't got there yet) and I just had to share this one with you

In raising my children, I may have lost my mind, but I found my soul

Whilst sometimes I want to divorce the two angels they are my life, which brings me to another quote from mum's list

Having children makes you understand why some animals eat their young

Have a great day everyone
