On the first day of Christmas ... And some Secret Admirer

It’s December at last!

Only a few weeks until the fat man in red comes visiting. So to celebrate, we at my2angels want to share some of the joy of giving with you.

For 12 wonderful days – as part of our 12 Days of Christmas promotion - we will be offering you some seriously festive cheer with a special offer each day – valid if you spend a minimum of $12.

Each day we will offer 12 different products that will be available for purchase at the special price of 12 cents each – and you will be able to purchase a quantity of 1 per item at that special price that's a total of 12 special items for $1.44 each day!

The only requirement is that your order total for each day must be more than $12 (not including postage, gift vouchers and classes) of full-priced items

We are happy to combine your purchases over the 12 day period (so that there is only one postage charge) BUT – you must make a comment in the notes section of your order that you wish for us to do that and select COD at checkout so that you are not charged each time for postage.
We will advise at the end of the promotion your combined postage costs.

Please note: the selective items will change at 8am AEST, each day
during the Christmas promotion
1 of each 12c item per customer only!

and Secret Admirer

Secret Admirer is Kaisercraft's second release and this will definitely be a big hit!  Bright turquoise and hot pink engage you and make the scrapping possiblities endless.  It's quite a feminine range with doilies found throughout the papers plus birdcages, butterflies and beautiful bouquets of flowers on the die sheets that are perfect sizes for cards or layering.

Hi, Michele here again today
with some brand new sweetness and love from Kaisercraft - ''Secret Admirer''.

If ever there was a romantic, pretty, girly paper collection out there, this is it. The colours are lovely - bright pinks, jade green, leaf green, and peach. The patterns are timeless and incorporate bird cages, roses, music, buttons, doilies, lace and butterflies.

This collection will also be fantastic for making cards and ATC's (my next project). There is a full 12x12 sticker sheet of  Quotes and two full pages of cut-outs - enough to make any card maker seriously happy!
My first project with these pp's is a layout though, called 'LOVE' and using 'Humble' as my base.

I love the bright pattern in the top corner of this paper, fading to a light colour which is a perfect background for my photo.
Before anything else, I decided to add a little texture, so using white gesso and a stencil I brushed a rose pattern onto the page which frames the centre. Then I distressed the edges and inked them with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink.
Some more elements that add texture without adding extra colour are some randomly cut and placed strips of sticky Plasterer's Mesh, some cream trim and strips of Cream Cotton Lace.

Using an Inkssential Manilla Tag #8 as a stencil I added some 'ghost' layers to the page, also with the Worn Lipstick Distress Ink, before covering it with a piece of  'Mystical' and sliding it underneath my photo.
The Collectables pack that comes with Secret Admirer is very generous and in my opinion is the best yet from Kaisercraft. Instead of cutting up any more of the patterned papers I used two tags and a ticket to create the rest of the layers under my photo. I distressed all the edges, and inked them with Worn Lipstick to tie all the different patterns together.
My title is also from the Collectables Pack and I have popped it up on dimensional tape so that it stands out from the background - the bright pink is good for that too :)

The pink scalloped lace edge peeping from under my photo and extending to the left of the flower cluster is a sticker from the 12x12 Borders Sticker Sheet, and the four flags forming the banner are also from Collectables. Rather than use string I have looped a pearl chain around and under them and have added a bright Pink Rose and a Parrot on a Flower Swing charm to the end.

The buttons are a mix of several kinds. There are a few pink ones from my grandma's button tin (bless her!), some my2angels Pink Star Buttons, and some die cut Collectables buttons.

I have added a 16mm Cabochon to the Collectables ones which enhances their colour and gives them just the right amount of dimension.

A smaller 14mm Cabochon does the same thing for the buttons on the peach and 'love is sweet' stickers from the Borders Sticker Sheet on the right.
I made use of the 12x12 Quotes sticker sheet to create my strips of journalling. "love and be loved'' on the left and ''it's the little moments that make life big'' on the left.

My flowers, like the buttons, are a mix. The two larger rosettes are surrounded by Pink & White Cherry Blossoms, Large Pink Roses, a Pink Lilly and small Pink & Cream Roses. Providing contrast and linking with the yellow and orange tones in the papers are some Tangerine Cherry Blossoms and  Tangerine Roses.

After sticking all the embellishments down I took out some Glimmermist and, after covering the photo with a baby wipe, sprayed lightly with Vintage Pink and Jingle Bells to give the project just a touch of extra colour and a lovely shimmer. I removed the excess colour from the raised gesso rose pattern by dabbing with the baby wipe.

I can see this range getting a lot of use after Christmas...just in time for Valentine's Day :)
Michele
